Surgeon
Dr. Nina Samuel is a residency-trained small animal veterinary surgeon. She obtained both her undergraduate degree and Veterinary Medical Doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania, completed a rotating internship in small animal emergency, medicine, and surgery at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York City, and recently completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of California—Davis in July 2023. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, arthroscopy, minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis, and interventional radiological procedures such as SUB placement. Dr. Samuel is also skilled in thoracic surgery,
gastrointestinal surgery, upper airway surgery, oncologic surgical procedures, and fracture repair. In her free time, she enjoys riding and competing horses in the hunter/jumpers, traveling, trying new food and cocktails, and spending time with her horse, Skye, and recently adopted Chihuahua mix, Harvest.
