Neurology Assistant
Mackenzie was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. From a young age, her favorite subject was science and she spent as much time as possible with animals. For a while, she thought she wanted to become a human doctor but soon realized she could fulfill her dream by working in veterinary medicine. From that moment onwards, Mackenzie knew this was her calling for life.
Mackenzie has fostered kittens for local rescue organizations since she was in high school, interned at several small animal general practice hospitals, and spent two summers during her college years working with a mobile large animal practice in the North Carolina mountains.
Recently, Mackenzie graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continues to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She made the decision to move to Philadelphia with her partner who is also pursuing a career in the medical field, studying to become a human doctor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She hopes to attend The Pennsylvania University School of Veterinary Medicine in the future, and is thrilled to be working with the incredible neurology team at PASE!
Outside of work, Mackenzie continues to dedicate her free time to the care of her foster kittens. She also enjoys pursuing her yoga teacher training certification, and relaxing through activities such as knitting, cooking, and indulging in a good book.
