Emergency Medicine
Dr. Romano was born and raised near Philadelphia. She graduated with a BS in Pre-Medical studies in 2008 and worked as a veterinary technician during and after undergraduate school. She then studied veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, graduating in 2015. Following veterinary school, Dr. Romano moved to Los Angeles and completed a one-year internship in medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, a large multi-specialty hospital. During her time in Los Angeles, Dr. Romano worked as a volunteer veterinarian at the Aquarium of the Pacific. In 2018, she moved back to Knoxville to practice emergency medicine before returning to the Philadelphia area in the summer of 2020.
Dr. Romano’s interests include trauma, toxicology, reptile and aquatic medicine, and the importance and protection of the human-animal bond. She has two cats, "Colin" and "Petrie" as well as a Piebald Ball Python named “Beaker. In her spare time, Dr. Romano enjoys spending time with her family, all things history, music, and travel.
