Emergency & Critical Care Technician
Jess grew up in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. After much convincing, her parents let her get a pet and she chose to adopt a cat- Stella, whom she grew up with, and that confirmed her affinity for felines. From there she moved to West Chester, PA to attend WCU majoring in psychology. After graduating, she began her career in social work serving youth and families involved in the foster care system. Looking for a change, she went on to start her vet med career at ACCT Philly, where she became the coordinator and nurse for the neonatal kitten unit.
Driven by her passion to make a positive impact in the lives of both humans and animals, she combined her work experience and joined the PASE team as an Emergency Nurse when the hospital first opened. She thrives in the fast paced environment and especially likes the variety of cases that come through the ER. Jess enjoys being a part of the special bond between humans and animals.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending time with her three beloved cats- Marley, Trophy, and Milo. She also can be found exploring the city of Philadelphia, traveling, going to concerts, and playing tennis.
