Emma

Neurology Assistant

Introducing Emma, a dedicated Neurology assistant at PASE. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Emma fondly remembers the corner delis and lively street performers of her hometown. In her freshman year at the University of Delaware, Emma's life took a turn when she visited the creamery with friends and encountered a cow face-to-face for the first time. It was a transformative moment that led her to switch her major from criminal justice to veterinary medicine.

Throughout her time at the University of Delaware, Emma gained valuable experience working at a local veterinary practice near campus. Starting as a veterinary assistant, she quickly worked her way up to become a skilled veterinary technician. It was here that her deep passion for nurturing the bond between pet owners and their furry companions blossomed. Emma thrived on forming connections with both the patients and their owners, helping to ensure the well-being and happiness of their beloved pets.

During breaks from school, Emma continued to pursue her love for veterinary medicine by working at a veterinary practice in her hometown of NY. Additionally, she dedicated her time while in Delaware to caring for horses at Carousel Park and volunteered at the dairy farm on campus, where she saw her first cow. These experiences further fueled her enthusiasm for animal care and solidified her path in the field.

After graduating in 2023, Emma landed a position at NYU Grossman's School of Medicine as a research technician. Her work involved caring for and studying mice, rats, pigs, and rabbits, deepening her connection to animals and animal science even more.

Recently relocating to the vibrant city of Philadelphia with her partner, Emma has embraced the sense of community that the city offers. She delights in attending local events and exploring the diverse array of restaurants that Philly is known for. Always eager to try new cuisines from different cultures, Emma's adventurous palate keeps her constantly seeking out new dining experiences.

When she's not busy caring for animals or sampling delicious food, Emma enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, unwinding with puzzles, and channeling her artistic side through painting and pottery. Emma's passion for animals and commitment to fostering strong human-animal bonds shine through in all aspects of her life.
